Research Center for Applied Computer Science
Computer science is omnipresent in the form of applications: in the private sector, the corporate sector and public life. The Research Center for Applied Computer Science is one of four research centers at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. It bundles research activities from five departments. Current research results are applied to socially relevant issues, e.g. in the areas of healthcare, media, telecommunications, industry, trade, tourism and culture.
The topics are broad and include e.g. Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Data Science, Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, Smart Home / Smart Cities / Smart Grids, Cloud Computing, Mixed Reality, Reliability and Security of Software as well as Cybersecurity and Privacy.
The members of the research center are actively involved in applied research projects, funded by companies or national and international public institutions. They are always open to new and interesting collaborations.
